Darío Villena is a venture capital professional with over ten years of experience in deep tech investments across Europe.

Before joining Armilar, Darío was Investment Director at Kapita and previously at Swanlaab, where he evaluated technology investments and supported portfolio companies through their scaling stages. He began his venture career at Seedstars, working with early-stage ventures in emerging markets. Prior to venture capital, Darío worked in product management at Nexiona, bringing hands-on technical expertise in IoT and product development to his investment approach.

Darío has served as technology evaluator for Hello Tomorrow, South Summit and the Shenzhen Global Competition. He has collaborated with the European Commission on internet of things initiatives and has taught at IE Business School.
