ACS' patented technology is based on common industrial cyclone systems, but it has a unique numerically optimised geometry and design, as well as innovative recirculation systems, that makes it compete in performance with other types of gas/solid separator technologies in demanding environments, but at the cost of the simpler cyclone systems.
